Minjoo is an Of Counsel in our Matrimonial and Family Practice Group. Minjoo has extensive experience in all areas of matrimonial law such as contentious divorces, disputes over child custody, maintenance, division of matrimonial assets and family violence in the Family Justice Court and Court of Appeal. Her practice includes acting for clients in contentious custody applications with cross-jurisdictional issues, mediation and advising on the preparation and drafting of pre-nuptial agreements and deeds of financial arrangement.
Her recent experience includes: acting as the lead counsel in a successful application by a father to seek shared care and control of two minor children; acting as the lead counsel in an ancillary matter proceeding by a mother to successfully seek sole care and control and maintenance for her child against the father who was depriving the mother of access and failing to pay maintenance for the child; acting as the lead counsel for a father of two children in resisting a Personal Protection Order application made by the mother on behalf of their children.
Minjoo is an active volunteer at the Singapore Association of Women Lawyers (SAWL) Legal clinic and a mentor in the NUS Law Alumni Mentor Programme (LAMP).
